PRINTSHOP ASSISTANT

Printshop assistant is responsible for assisting in the production of printed materials used in signage, theming, and marketing materials used internally. The applicant would operate the printers, laminators and some carpentry equipment necessary to produce the final product for shipping.

The ideal candidate has a post-high school education (college coursework or a degree), strong work ethic, excellent computer/internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, standing for entire shift, etc.), and knows how to “listen and lead.” He or she must have a dynamic personality and must be self-motivated to optimize performance.

• Must have a basic understanding of sign and print digital work-flow.
• Background in laminating, graphic design, and minor carpentry is preferred
• Basic knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud software.

• Brainstorms and mocks up design ideas
• Maintains strong attention to detail when proofing all materials
• Operates and maintains print and finishing equipment
• Produces/designs, proofs, and updates materials
• Understands color management and applies file adjustments

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate. Some graphic design training or previous work experience.
• Has a demonstrated skill level in graphic design & print production.
• Able to meet deadlines set forth by the company.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to adhere to a budget.
• Has sufficient skills with Adobe Suite Design software, specifically, but not limited to Illustrator CC.
• Proven success in a multi-disciplinary company.
• Excellent communication, artistic, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to operate or learn minor carpentry skills using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery needed to produce signage.
• Shipping experience is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
