Fall River Municipal Credit Union is seeking a Finance Manager to manage the credit union’s accounting, record-keeping, and financial reporting functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Credit Union’s accounting and fiscal reporting.
• Counsels management on fiscal control and profitability.
• Prepares, presents and interprets major reports for senior management and participates in all appropriate management planning sessions.
• Manages all accounting operations of the Credit Union
• Prepare financial forecasts and other financial simulations, including Asset Liability Management, for decision-making purposes.
• Have an advisory role with the ALCO and Investment Committees.
• Participate in management planning sessions as needed, direct and establish department planning parameters and ensure completion of such.
• Liaison for the Audit Committee, external auditors, internal and compliance auditors, and examiners.
• Responsible for monitoring all corporate credit union authorization levels and borrowings.
• Responsible for reviewing all Board of Director expenses as presented for payment.
• Monitors and funds of the allowance for loan loss.
• Prepare annual operating budget and present to board and management for approval. Responsible for reporting branch profitability and making periodic financial progress reports.
• Reviews and revises policies regarding: investments, ALCO, liquidity, accounts payable, loan loss, compliance, corporate credit cards, fixed assets, loan participations, and vendor management.
• Oversees and performs annual performance evaluations of the department staff.
• Responsible for responses in writing to audits performed, along with following for necessary documents required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 – 10 years of experience in accounting and finance for a bank, credit union, or related financial institution.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Experience and comfort managing a small accounting team.
• Familiar and comfortable with upcoming CECL regulations.
• Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, and skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
