Assistant Human Resources Business Partner:
The purpose of the Assistant Human Resources Business Partner (Asst. HRBP) role provides support to our field team in the role of a strategic partner. The Asst. HRBP develops and maintains business relationships across the Human Resources function to deliver value-added service our field team that demonstrates the business objectives of the organization. The Asst. HRBP maintains an effective level of business knowledge about all aspects of the business including but not limited to financial, future plans and goals, culture, and competition.
The right candidate for Asst. HRBP must possess superb organization and prioritization skills. This a very dynamic and evolving role, therefore, the selected candidate must be fast to adapt and apply the skills necessary to complete the duties and responsibilities assigned. The HRBP must have the ability to analyze data and use it to help coach, develop and consult with their team. Discretion and proper management and safeguard of confidential information is essential for this role. Communication with Management and Asst. HRBPs are essential.
Assistant Human Resources Partnership:
The Asst. HRBP will act as the change agent to business through process design and approaches that support change and transformation – striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status. They will evaluate issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs i.e. training to address certain needs. The Asst. HRBP will work to analyze trends within their area and develop policies, procedures, and systems to address any developments that require additional instruction and support. They will work on assigned projects and tasks as assigned by the Department Manager They will monitor compliance within their assigned area. They will work with Talent Acquisition to create recruiting strategies for the areas they oversee. They will partner with Talent Acquisition to prescreen candidate applications and resumes for required skills; experience and knowledge to fit position requirements. They will ensure efficient turn-around by field team on referred applicants to ensure utilization of the talent pool. They will actively participate in recruitment campaigns and job fairs within their areas as well as general networking to ensure robust candidate pipeline. They will actively participate in interviews with management position candidates.
Field Team Support:
Our Asst. HRBP is assigned specific coverage areas that they oversee as the Human Resources liaison for the Field Team in those areas. They provide support by being knowledgeable of employment laws within those areas. They will guide the Field Team in how to best address any type of employment issues within their teams. They will provide training to the management team.
Administrative and Payroll Support:
The Asst. HRBP role is an entry level position that will provide additional support through administrative duties. They ensure data integrity in HRIS (Unify), and other people related systems that are used daily in the Asst. HRBP role. They will assist the Department Manager with maintenance of employee personnel records. They will partner will payroll, HRIS, compensation, and benefit functions.
Additional Tasks:
The Asst. HRBP will be asked to provide additional support during the holiday season (Thanksgiving through Mother’s Day) and as needed through the rest of the year with sending and processing onboarding for new hires. During this time the HRBP might be asked to work additional hours or hours outside of the standard schedule which could include weekends. The Asst. HRBP will also need the ability to physically go into the field and provide support for their field team during the holiday season.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel and Outlook as well as other software.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and overtime, as needed, and during busy peak season.
Demonstrated ability to self-audit for very high level of accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, computer, data communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidential and privacy safeguards
Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a complex, high-paced environment.
Ability to work independently but also to be able to function in a team environment and work collaboratively.
Problem solving skills.
Bilingual is a plus but not required.
This position will require the ability to travel approximately 20%.
Education and Experience:
This is an entry-level position that requires between 1-3 years progressive Human Resources experience.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent.
