Full Job Description

Overview:

M Health Fairview is looking for a scribe at our University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. The scribe follows the emergency physician into the patient’s room and enters information into a computer using a specifically crafted template. This position is for a 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) on the day/evening shift and an every other weekend rotation. This is a great opportunity for students looking to advance on to medical, nursing, or physician assistant school!

Responsibilities/Job Description:

Our scribes will be:

  • assigned to work with one emergency physician per shift and demonstrate extensive knowledge of medical terminology
  • accompany the physician upon patient interview and exam and display outstanding customer service skills.
  • Document physical findings as performed by the physician accurately demonstrating excellent computer proficiency and literacy
  • document accurate times of patient care related activated

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidates will have:

Completion of 2-3 years college course work toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-med, Nursing, or Physican Assistant
