For over 94 years, Fairmont Royal York has stood proudly as a Toronto landmark. When the hotel opened in 1929 it was the tallest building in the British Common Wealth and contained 1,048 rooms, a concert hall, library, extensive bakery, radio station and even a hospital. Today, this essential downtown landmark has completed a multi-million dollar transformation, reimagining its lobby, rooms, dining venues, event spaces, and Fairmont Gold – the property’s exclusive hotel within a hotel luxury experience. Another stunning chapter for Fairmont Royal York has begun.
Job Description
Move stock from Receiving area to Stores and all kitchens
Rotate, store products with date stamping
Ensures accurate and prompt distribution of products to all departments
Maintains accurate documentation of all issues for ing purposes
Fill requisitions inventory to maintain minimum/maximum pars
Take physical inventories for daily reorder purposes, month-end reconciliation and ing
Use of the BirchStreet Procurement system for the reorder, issuing process, inventory and maintaining stock levels
Daily cleaning of all Stores
Performs additional duties as required
Qualifications
Ability to lift 20kg weights on a continual basis
Some food knowledge and beverage knowledge
Intermediate computer skills
Complies with all Health and Safety regulations
Candidate must be organized and accurate with attention to detail
General knowledge of food and beverage specifications and quality standards
Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent to constant lifting and carrying up to 20kgs
Over 20kg becomes a 2 man lift
Frequent pushing/pulling carts with up to 250kg load
Frequent ascending or descending stairs and ramps
