Roles and Responsibilities:

Administration (30%):

• Keep track of data pertaining to all outreach, training, and prevention efforts.

• Assist FAIR Girls leadership team in preparing reports and presentations regarding the Prevention Education and Outreach program for the FAIR Girls Board of Directors, grantors, and other funders.

• Work with FAIR Girls leadership team to design, create, and produce materials regarding human trafficking, CSEC, and FAIR Girls programs and services to provide at community events and trainings.

• Identify geographical areas and organizations that serve high-risk populations and build partnerships for outreach, training, and prevention education.

• Day-to-day management of all requests received for outreach, training, or prevention education, including coordinating schedules with requesting organization and assigning FAIR Girls facilitator.

• Assist Direct Service Manager and Director of Programs with planning FAIR Girls 2023 Conference.

• Assist Director of Programs with coordination of IRB study related to FAIR Girls Tell Your Friends curriculum.

Outreach, Training, and Prevention Education Program (50%):

• Recruitment of strategic partnerships with government agencies, local businesses, and service providers for training and technical assistance on best practices and building referral pathways for victims of human trafficking and CSEC.

• Plan, develop and facilitate trainings on human trafficking and CSEC for community partners, board members, and fundraising events.

• Plan and facilitate prevention workshops for youth who are at-risk for human trafficking.

• Conduct street outreach to potential victims of human trafficking (flexible hours needed).

• Manage resource tables at community events.

• Manage volunteers to conduct prevention education workshops and resource tables.

• Collaborate with law enforcement, NGOs, and other government agencies to partner on trainings to improve treatment of trafficking and CSEC survivors and improve organizational response.

• Provide education to clients about human trafficking and/or CSEC in order to prevent re-victimization.

• During outreach efforts, engage in crisis response, intervention, and support for potential victims that may be triggered or disclose exploitation.
• Facilitate Tell Your Friends and Little Red CSEC trainings in middle and high schools throughout the D.C. area in coordination with DCPS

• Assist with social media management, posting, and promotion for Prevention Education & Outreach events.

On-Call Supervision and Crisis Response (20%):

• Provide on-call after-hours support for our residential program, the Vida Home, including crisis response and intervention for Survivor Residents.

• Oversee, assist and support Vida Home Residential Care Coordinators, residential contractors, or volunteers in a crisis or emergency in the Vida Home, as necessary.

• Provide in-person crisis response and emergency hotel assistance for survivors leaving trafficking situations.

• Staff the FAIR Girls crisis referral hotline and cover emergency Vida Home shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: Relevant education and experience, including:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and one to two years of relevant experience, OR

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field, OR

• four + years of relevant experience working in a relevant field, OR

• Survivor Advocate with a history of human trafficking and/or commercial sexual exploitation, and at least two years of relevant experience

• Relevant education includes: psychology, social work, women’s and gender studies, and/or family science

• Experience facilitating trainings and prevention workshops

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 per year
