About the Role: The Director of Sales Operations is a key senior role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the sales processes within an organization. This position entails leading a sales support / customer service team, streamlining sales methodologies, analyzing sales data for trends and improvements, and preparing s for strategic decision-making. The Director of Sales Operations collaborates closely with various departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and efficiency across the organization. They are also involved in forecasting, budgeting, and managing key retail account portals. A strong focus is placed on performance metrics, customer service, and fostering a team culture of open communication and continuous improvement. The role requires a blend of strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in CRM systems and a background in business administration or a related field.

Responsibilities:

Team Manager:

• Lead a team of 7, providing guidance, support, and direction for optimal performance and cohesion.
• Utilize strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving goals.
• Foster a positive team culture with open communication, collaboration, and a shared purpose.

Sales Process Optimization:

• Streamline and optimize sales processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with sales leadership to develop and implement standardized sales methodologies.
• Show expertise in both B2B and D2C sales channels and processes.

Data Analysis and ing:

• Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc s, providing insights for strategic decision-making.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

• Collaborate with sales and finance teams for accurate sales forecasts.
• Assist in the creation and management of sales budgets, tracking against targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Engage with marketing, finance, and operations to ensure organizational alignment and efficiency.
• Act as a liaison between sales and other areas, addressing issues and fostering effective communication.

Performance Metrics and KPIs:

• Define and monitor key performance indicators for the sales team.
• Establish metrics to evaluate and improve sales initiatives.

Portal Management:

• Oversee portals of key retail accounts, ensuring accurate listings, order management, pricing, and inventory.
• Partner with sales managers to optimize content, promotions, and visibility.

Customer Service:

• Instill a customer-centric mindset within the team.
• Encourage innovation and proactive problem-solving in customer service.
• Generate s on team performance, customer satisfaction, and KPIs for senior management review.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or related field.
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Proven experience in sales operations or similar role.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in CRM systems and data analysis tools.
• Experience with PIM systems (e.g., Salsify).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Knowledge of retailer portals (e.g., Retail Link, Vendor Central, Partners Online).
