Fabco Shoes, the leading family footwear chain in New York and New Jersey, is looking for a seasoned, results-oriented buyer, with an entrepreneurial spirit, to continue to grow its business. The candidate must have experience in costing, line-building, assortment planning, in-season inventory management, and vendor negotiations. The candidate must be a high-energy, self-starter, with strong business judgment, exceptional retail analytical skills, established relationships in the contemporary market, and have demonstrated the ability to use creative thinking and innovation to solve problems. This position requires a very strong sense of fashion. This is a tremendous opportunity for an individual with fashion background to work in a fast paced buying office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant buying experience
• Proficiency in sales, mark-down analysis, and trend forecasting
• Experience with overseas product development and domestic vendor sourcing
• Successful track record in growing categories and maintaining margins
• Exposure to store operations, visual merchandising, and store marketing
• Ability to travel domestically and overseas to trade shows, vendors, and factories
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to react quickly to trends
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
