The opportunity
We have an exciting career opportunity for a Talent Consultant (Supervising Associate) to join our Talent Team in the Cayman Islands. Your key responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for coordinating and facilitating human resources activities for our Cayman Islands practice. Working closely with other Talent team members, you’ll implement, execute and influence innovative HR programs and processes in line with our Talent agenda, including performance management, compensation and career development. You’ll address and resolve a wide range of employee inquiries and provide guidance to our business leaders. You’ll also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to budgets and compensation to identify trends and make appropriate recommendations.
Additional Responsibilities
Manage the Talent/HR activities for the Cayman office
Serve as the tactical front-line support to internal customer groups and provide some strategic support to functional leadership on talent initiatives
Resolve complex, moderate-risk employee relations issues; escalate these to senior team members as appropriate
Implement high-quality HR processes, including performance management, scholarship program, career development, intern program, etc.
Manage HR records and provide detailed ing and analysis
Support the introduction of talent-related programs or processes with appropriate change management initiatives
Lead and/or participate in medium-to-large projects
Share leading Talent/HR practices
Keep abreast of current immigration legislation; ensure compliance with the firms’ policies, best HR practice and employment legislation related to immigration
Deliver excellent service in line with Talent/HR processes and ensure service level agreements are achieved
Contribute to wider Talent/HR projects and initiatives on an ad-hoc basis
Skills and attributes for success
A proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects
Working knowledge of HR laws and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence leaders around new programs and change
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5-7 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of local employment/HR laws and practices
Strong project management skills, with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Caymanian/Spouse of Caymanian/Permanent Residency (PR) status
Ideally, you’ll also have
Society for Human Resource Management certification
Experience working within a professional services industry or complex matrixed environment
Ability to quickly learn EY’s business
A strong client service mindset, with excellent communication skills and confidence in interacting with and influencing individuals at all levels within the organization
