Senior Learning Program Manager – Talent Development UKI – London or Birmingham – Permanent

The opportunity

As a Senior Learning Program Manager, you will deliver on this vision by co-developing and delivering the Assurance learning strategy, comprising technical training and broader training initiatives for our people, from school leavers and graduates through to partner including.

Your key responsibilities

Stakeholder management and business partnering

• For the assigned portfolio, build and manage relationships with the business stakeholders, supporting the Learning Leader in driving the implementation of the SL Learning strategy.
• For Technical SL requirements, Senior Learning Program Manager is responsible for facing off to Regulators (including the FRC, PCAOB, IAASA, Ofsted), ensuring learning compliance (managing stakeholder/HRBC relationships on matters relating to compliance), practice level reviews and implementation and delivery against ISQM1 or similar SL-specific requirements

Define

• For the assigned portfolio, analyse L&D needs in line with business needs, identify and agree priorities with business stakeholders for assigned client group (e.g., SSL, competency area etc)
• Collaborate with Global counterparts, other SLs and cross-SL to identify common themes and avoid duplication – leveraging global content wherever possible
• Ensure client group Learning needs are included in the SL Learning curriculum planning processes

Design and develop Learning

• Design and develop and approve Learning deliverables as required (including Learning Solution Plans, Design Specifications, Storyboard, Deployment Plans and Learning materials)
• Drive virtualisation/ blended learning, innovation of the learning content that receive great feedback and contribute to building TD brand
• Test new content proposals with stakeholders and act on feedback
• Approve Local Learning Solutions for go / no go decisions
• Approve the deliverables from EY CoE (GDS LSS), SME Consultant or external vendors to undertake design and development activities of local UK&I content
• Oversee the running of Learning Program pilots, capture, feedback, propose and implement change requests
• Approve deployment and logistics materials

Deploy Learning

• Approve and oversee the execution, deployment plans and budgets for assigned portfolio and projects
• Engage business stakeholders/ L&D champions to drive uptake and completion of courses to targets in line with SL policy requirements, problem solve
• Define and oversee implementation of facilitator excellence model, support the deployment team in implementation of this
• Review and approve the delivery of service or asset/technology by external vendors

Measure Learning

• Generate insights and recommendations, lead on in-depth UK&I studies of the impact of programmes, propose solutions based on data
• Evaluate Learning Program feedback to the line manager and share insights, as well as value and impact of learning with stakeholders
• Define and oversee continuous improvement of local UK&I content

Learning facilitation

• Facilitate Learning Programs for senior audiences, as per the agreed scope of services
• Team leadership
• Lead the assigned team, act as a counsellor, coach and mentor, participate in recruitment, drive team development, manage performance
• Act as a role model, demonstrate ownership for own professional growth and how you maintain relevance in the role

Enable learners and drive culture shift to self-directed learning

• Curate, validate and communicate learning maps based on learner roles and/or business segment. Manage build and maintenance of the comms channels
• Create and own learner communications, marketing and learner engagement activities for the assigned client group to drive learning uptake. Engage sponsorship and learning advocates in the business.
• Create, set up and manage learning communities for virtual learning uptake, create and cascade best practice, educate the learners and business stakeholders on options to drive learning uptake within their community.

Skills and attributes for success

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels
• Strong presentation skills (both verbal and written presentations/PowerPoint)
• Team management, coaching and interpersonal skills with an ability to manage difficult conversations
• Data management and analysis, ability to generate and present evidence-based insights
• Strong IT skills, including but not limited to MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and knowledge of learning platforms (LMS and VILT)

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Extensive skills and experience in learning deployment, design, facilitation
• Functional expertise in Learning, knowledge of trends, especially in virtual learning and learning technology
• Strong commercial acumen and in-depth knowledge of the Assurance service line and business
• Strong stakeholder management / business consulting with a proven ability to manage challenging conversations – the Assurance stakeholder network is broad and complex
• Ability to engage and influence others
• A background in professional services and corporate environment
• Evidence of identifying and implementing process improvements and creation of best practice
