The opportunity

The UK and Ireland Talent Team is undertaking an enhancement of its Management Information (MI) provision, (i.e. the reports, dashboards, analytics and insights we produce). Working at various levels across our talent functions, wider business and global support teams, the role will be responsible for the design and implementation of an updated MI provision that is insightful, fit for purpose and efficient.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Talent Team as it seeks to re-imagine a Reporting and Analytics function, that will enable EY to develop insights of its people that enable better business decisions, while simultaneously improving our employees’ experiences and well-being. The person in this role will have a real opportunity to create and shape how this function will operate in the future.

Collaborating and engaging with the Talent Operations as well as the Student recruitment team and Talent reporting and analytics to support automated, improved, built, developed, and enhanced regular MI reports and dashboards by consolidating, translating, combining, and standardising information form a variety of recruiting and HR systems (Amber Track), Power BI and ad hoc spreadsheets and other data sources.

To provide a client centric and accurate overview to support, recommend and drive insight into student recruitment performance against important critical internal or internal and industry standard Recruiting and HR targets and KPIs, to make strategic talent decisions in a highly competitive recruitment environment.

You will be involved in the following:

• Consolidate, develop the management of the MI and reporting framework for the student recruitment team that adds value through rich talent and market insights
• Build and develop knowledge base across the student recruitment team that shares best practice, i.e consolidated MI reports
• Understand and help to build a talent MI reporting roadmap to drive improvements in our recruiting processes and approach
• Work collaboratively with the recruitment operations team and other teams to develop and improve MI capability, including: Validate and review existing reporting, gather feedback, and prioritise iterative improvements, i.e., key talent / recruitment insights and storyboard
• Gather requirements from the student recruitment team to build reports that are streamlined and automated
• Capture and review MI that is currently produced for and by the various UK and Ireland based talent functions
• Working with the talent functions and wider business in negotiating and agreeing future MI provision that is insightful, fit for purpose and efficient
• Creating and delivering the agreed future state MI provision.
• Analysing what MI is produced today, assessing its effectiveness, limitations, and challenges
• Grasping technical issues (e.g. reporting issues, data manipulation issues, data access / privacy)
• Gathering feedback on future MI requirements, including influencing and challenging talent functions and wider business insightfully on what MI they are using (and how they are using it)
• Negotiate with global support teams on the type and nature of MI provision they make available to the UK and Ireland business
• Makes recommendations on future MI provision. To include what MI is produced, delivery mechanisms and the streamlining / simplifying of deliverables
• Setting up MI deliverables within agreed-upon timelines and standards. This will include:
  • Regular and automated reporting, particularly around pipeline analysis, recruitment effectiveness
  • Dashboards, i.e., Power BI, etc.
  • Data modelling
  • Scenario planning
• The role will also include some involvement in delivery of MI the wider team currently produces

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Strong data integration skills, ability to query and synthesise data from various sources. (e.g., SQL, power query)
• Proven analytical skills, with a methodical, problem solving mind-set
• Great communication skills to gain MI reporting requirements, streamline, simplify and embed across a large recruitment team
• Ability to establish credibility quickly, commanding attention and respect, demonstrating confidence, and dealing comfortably with others
• Capability to develop MI production processes (including automation of processes where possible)
• In-depth knowledge of data analysis and visualization packages, e.g. Excel, Power Bi, Alteryx
• Data interpretation skills, aptitude to identify, interpret and present relevant findings (written and verbally)
• Business centric and stakeholder driven, building data and insights that helps the business to make key decisions across the complex recruitment lifecycle
• Help to scope MI reporting requirements for future ATS and CRM transformation impacts
• Build a single source of truth for the UK student recruitment team that ultimately enables best in class MI reporting standards reporting on all aspects and stages of the recruiting process.
• Measuring historical and current recruiting performance against internal and external recruiting KPIs, targets and metrics – highlighting and identifying areas requiring improvement that require action or intervention to put into action a positive business change and make strategic informed decisions for the plan and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract and retain the best talent for the company.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Previous experience setting up or rationalising Management Information or reporting processes for a high-volume recruitment or TA team
• Previous experience building relational databases is highly desirable
• Working history of stakeholder management in a matrix environment, including negotiation of service delivery standards
• Experience of working with offshore teams
• Previous experience facilitating MI / reporting discovery workshops, collaborating on process maps and gap analysis work
