EMEIA FSO Talent Chief of Staff – UK wide – 12 month secondment or FTC

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with EMEIA FSO Talent Partner, Anne-Marie Balfe and the EMEIA FSO Talent team. Your responsibility will be to support Anne-Marie and the Talent Leadership team to execute the EMEIA FSO Talent strategy and priorities to support business growth in line with our NextWave ambition.

You will be instrumental in driving the strategy across Talent functions, which consist of HR Strategic Projects, Talent Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), Recruitment, Employer Brand, and Corporate Responsibility.

This is an established role in which you will have ample opportunity to drive the strategy by reviewing, assessing, and delivering the top priorities of the Talent leader as their trusted advisor. This involves day-to-day exposure to senior stakeholders including regional leadership and you will work regularly with colleagues from across EMEIA FSO Markets, Service Lines, Sectors and Functions. In particular, you’ll build a close relationship with the EMEIA FSO Regional Manager Partner (RMP) Chief of Staff to align on regional priorities that require Talent support/input.

Your key responsibilities

As EMEIA FSO Talent Chief of Staff, you will:

Strategy and leadership

• Work closely with Anne-Marie and the Talent Leadership team, as an advisor, to define and implement EMEIA FSO Talent strategy and support the build out of priority areas and initiatives across our Countries — in line with EMEIA FSO NextWave strategy and growth ambitions. You will develop a broad understanding of our business, the trends impacting our people, and the communities we work within
• Have the opportunity to lead on strategic Talent project(s)/initiative(s) — delivering across the full project life cycle (e.g., status report, project plan, risk and issues, stakeholder management, content development, change support, etc.)
• Manage weekly Talent Leadership meetings, and other key Talent Leadership forums such as the monthly Operating Board and quarterly Strategic Board to drive the strategic Talent agenda forward. This involves planning the agenda, coordinating presenters, hosting when required and keeping everyone on top of their actions.
• Manage regional leadership forums such as the EMEIA FSO Talent Committee. Working with Anne-Marie, Talent Leadership, and the EMEIA FSO RMP Chief of Staff to set the agenda, coordinate and create content to share with regional leadership in advance, during, and post meeting
• Maintaining oversight of key projects/initiatives across Talent functions and service lines and making connections others may not see
• Work with highly sensitive and confidential information in day-to-day work.
• Deal with ad-hoc requests from all levels in the organization

Change management

• Support Talent Leadership in managing change, across the team, in on-going response to Talent transformation
• Drive the roll-out of the new meeting governance structure across EMEIA FSO Talent. Playing a central role in connecting regional leadership, Talent leadership, the EMEIA FSO Talent team and wider Talent ecosystem (across Markets and ranks), as well as adapting the design and delivery of this new structure in response to feedback and further change
• You will have to deal with unexpected or last-minute requests, while executing more regular tasks and programmes. Project timelines can range anywhere between a few hours up to an entire year

Communications and engagement

• Project manage events (both virtual and in person), e.g. the quarterly EMEIA FSO Talent teaming/all hands calls. Coordinating and connecting the Social Teaming Committee with leadership and internal communications to ensure the events are delivered on time and within budget. You will also play and instrumental role in creating strategic content on behalf of Anne-Marie and the Talent Leadership team to share at these events (as the key intermediary between leadership and the wider Talent team).
• Prepare presentations and briefing notes for Anne-Marie Balfe to deliver to internal and external audiences: conduct research and shape information from a host of sources into a compelling story that engages and is tailored to the specific target audience — including the EMEIA FSO Regional Leadership Team (RLT)
• Work closely with the EMEIA FSO Internal Communications and Engagement team to develop and share broader communications and messaging with EMEIA FSO Partners and the wider EMEIA FSO business
• Regularly review, copy edit, and shape a host of content from across the business on behalf of Anne-Marie as her trusted advisor
• Coordinate and copy edit Anne-Marie’s monthly newsletter — Talent Matters

The candidate we are looking for

• Highly organised and methodical with the ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
• Robust project management skills and experience
• Able to work with minimal guidance and takes initiative to make well informed decisions
• Strong written and communication skills (fluent in English). Knowledge of other European languages is an asset
• Advanced PowerPoint proficiency, both in terms of technical skill and ability to tell a story through slides. Ideally familiar with the firm’s branding guidelines
• A confident representative of people in our organization who is unafraid to challenge ideas and advise/provide personal points of view based on unique knowledge, skills, and experiences
