The opportunity

We are looking for Consultants & Senior Consultants within the Private Client Tax team in our Melbourne office. These roles are offered on a full-time basis. EY’s Tax practice believes a better working world is helping our clients navigate through a rapidly- changing business and tax environment. EY professionals combine agility, diverse thought, tax technical depth and the power of technology and analytics to provide exceptional value to clients by developing and executing strategies quickly and effectively, with strong accountability and governance.

Your key responsibilities

• You will provide tax advice to privately owned corporate groups, high net wealth families, trusts, and other privately owned entities
• You will provide financial reporting and tax compliance services for our clients
• Advise clients on their key business issues using a wide range of technology in real time
• Contribute to strategic planning for, and the implementation of, family governance frameworks and structures, with particular focus on privately owned business
• Work across multiple projects and clients, including entrepreneurial start-ups, established private businesses and high-net worth individuals and families

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• Tax technical knowledge relevant to private corporate groups, families and individuals
• Strong communication skills, team focus and the ability to manage priorities for multiple clients
• Ability to build strong and lasting business relationships
• Strong commercial awareness
• A strong ability to work with others, be able to prioritise your work as well communicate well to others both verbally and written

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with financial software but more importantly a keen interest in how digital solutions can help our clients and our business.
