Responsibilities : – Oversee and manage the logistics operations of the company, including transportation, distribution, and materials handling.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency. – Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure adequate stock levels. – Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, manage routes, and optimize delivery schedules.
• Implement and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for equipment maintenance and repairs. – Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop category management strategies and negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment in the distribution center.

Skills : – Strong knowledge of logistics principles, including transportation management systems (TMS) and materials handling.

• Proficiency in using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. – Experience in demand planning and forecasting to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. – Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
