Our Ashwood Centre:
We are located on High Street Rd, Ashwood. There is parking and public transport available. Detailed attention has been placed on planning each indoor and outdoor space at our centre, with a focus on nature and sustainability. Our centre will be designed to stimulate children’s creativity, exploration and sense of belonging.

The role:
We would like our Educational leader to start this role in a dual role also running the Toddler room As we are a new centre. This is also important in understanding how to then support our educators once the role moves to being off the floor.

How can you support us:

• Show you can establish trusting, happy relationships with children, families, and staff
• Natural passion for children, education, and development with strong knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach.
• Able to work in a team environment and be a creative and cooperative team player
• Excellent English – written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of EYLF and NQS and a commitment to excellence in early childhood to provide high-quality care and education
• Deliver quality education programs and daily routines that meet the needs and interests of each individual child

Key requirements:

• Diploma of Children Services or higher
• Three – Five years’ experience as a teacher, Room Leader or Educational Leader
• First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
• Working with children check
• Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
• Our Educational Leaders:
• Support the educators in the development, implementation and maintenance of the educational program
• Support the centre management team
• Guide the practice of the educators daily
• Collaborate with the educators to promote an inclusive curriculum
• Collaborate with the educators to provide an aesthetically pleasing environment
• Complete weekly curriculum audits
• Organise and manage the professional development plan for all educators
• Seek and provide development content for all educators
• Develop strong and meaningful relationships with all families and managing the centre ‘ongoing outings’ schedule
