Overview

Our client is looking to engage a Technical Writer who will prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documents, including solution, detailed design and operational documentation for a key system of theirs.

You will:

• manage the technical documentation following version control standards and the department’s records management system (SharePoint)
• consult with solution architect, technical team leads and key business stakeholders, to develop system documentation
• work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
• provide superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Essential criteria

• Demonstrated experience analysing and documenting relational data models.
• Demonstrated experience documenting complex software systems, as built documentation, including integrations with other systems.
• Proven ability to analyse, synthesize and quickly learn complex solutions.
• Prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documents, including solution, detailed design and operational documentation.
• Demonstrated experience writing procedural documentation for multiple audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to develop the technical documentation adhering to version control standards and records management system requirements.

Desirable criteria

• Proven experience with task tracking tools such as DevOps.
• Working knowledge of Agile development environment is highly desirable
• Minimum 4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer
