Exceptional Startups is seeking startup mentors to start immediately. Startup mentors play a huge role in the success of startups, enabling founders to answer and address critical questions at every turn. As Richard Branson once said, “No matter how incredibly smart you think you are, or how brilliant, disruptive or plain off -the-wall your new concept might be, every start-up team needs at least one good mentor. Someone, somewhere, has already been through what you are convinced nobody else has ever confronted! Okay, so their version may have been analogue rather than digital, but trust me, many of the business fundamentals are exactly the same. Building a new business takes more than technological skills and creative genius – it needs people, and if you’re going to create a great culture as well as a great product, those people need tending to in a plethora of different ways.’

We meet startups at every level of funding and level of time that they have. Whether it’s a marketing strategy, or a hybrid accelerator, we have the tools, expertise and experience to jumpstart the dreams of founders. We have helped over 30 startups from Idea Stage to Growth/Expansion, achieving over $1 million in the last year.

As a startup mentor, you will have an opportunity to work alongside founders as they build their business. We are looking for mentors who have been there and will help guide startups.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with founders who are participating in the hybrid accelerator (Exceptional Excelerator).
• Provide feedback and insight that will enable founders to continue to grow in their journey.
• Be available a la carte for founders who would like to work with you one-on-one while they receive another service (whether through the Startup School or Professional Services).
• Work with the rest of the Exceptional team to ensure that deliverables align with the long term success of the founders.
• Work with the CEO/Founder of Exceptional Startups to provide feedback on services, updating services as necessary.

Pay
This role will be on an hourly, contract-basis. As Exceptional becomes more established, this opportunity may work towards a full or part-time salaried opportunity.

Pay: $17.00 – $29.00 per hour
