Excelsior Schools Hiring for 1st Grade Teacher Job at Tampa, FL Full Time

The ideal candidate for this position will be highly detail-oriented, committed to keeping students safe and prepared to learn, and able to engage students of all learning styles. A successful candidate will be an experienced educator who is energetic, motivated and knowledgeable about the latest teaching methodologies. This position is for a full-time elementary teacher who will teach large classes across multiple subjects including history, English, art, music and physical education.

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans.
• Teach students in a classroom environment.
• Administer standardized achievement tests to students.
• Plan field trips.
• Communicate with parents and guardians.
• Distribute daily lesson plans to students.
• Distribute daily homework assignments to students.
• Help students understand individual weaknesses and strengths.
• Help students improve weaknesses in areas such as reading, writing, and math.
• Help students develop social skills.
• Speak with other teachers about individual students’ performance.
