Excel Construction Recruitment Looking for Military Manufacturing Engineer at Southampton, Hampshire Full Time

Excel are happy to offer anexciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience within the military field to join an already existing and high performing team based in Southampton on a permanent basis.

The client is a leading supplier of major civil and military aircraft structures in hi-tech composites, metallic, acrylics and hybrid structures and due to the rapid expansion of the company, we are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of the internal manufacturing process, focused on the military programmes.

Your responsibilities will include project management, liaising with clients and interpreting their needs, conduct cost/ benefit analysis for changes to the process or equipment to then manage the manufacturing process from concept through to final design effectively. This includes, final and sub-assembly process generation/ improvements, Return to Work surveys and manufacturing process generation for complex military equipment.

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a Degree/ HNC in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Have excellent project management/process experience
• Have a sound knowledge of military processes and procedures
• Detailed knowledge of metallics manufacturing process
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including stakeholder management
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments to achieve the best results
• Six Sigma Green Bely trained and certified is desirable but not essential
• Experience in a metallics manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
