Excel Construction Recruitment Looking for Composite Manufacturing Engineer at Southampton, Hampshire Full Time

Excel Technical Consulting have an exciting new opportunity for Manufacturing Engineers working for a leading supplier of major civil and military aircraft structures in hi-tech composites, metallic, acrylics and hybrid structures. Our client is looking for engineers who specialise in project management with a strong understanding of composites.

Due to our clients expanding business operations they are looking for a suitable candidate to join their team on a permanent basis at their UK based facility. We are looking for candidates that are highly experienced in project and process management related to composite manufacturing, able to manage their own performance against agreed goals and objectives as well as being accountable for quality and on time delivery and budget. It is a essential that you facilitate all elements of manufacturing engineering such as process planning, tooling, inspection of criteria and equipment.

Other tasks will consist of generating internal engineering instructions to enable manufacturing and control costs and quality within the engineering team. You will be expected to understand and liaise with customers to support both internal and external customers needs as well as supporting new technology initiatives and equipment upgrades from purchase through to installation and commissioning.

To be considered for this role you must have a degree or higher national certificate in engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience within Porject Management ideally Six Sigma Green Belt trained and certified. You must have detailed knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and good leadership skills including coaching and team engagement.

The successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £50,000 per year with private medical cover including dental care, competitive pension scheme and annual salary review.
