We’re seeking a Learning & Development Skills Coach/Tutor to coach and tutor our apprentices. Knowledge and experience in apprenticeships is a definite plus, or at minimum a great understanding of Learning & Development.

Responsible for: Learning & Development/ Leadership Apprenticeships, Functional Skills Delivery, Teaching & Supporting Apprentices/Learners
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
To facilitate the effective completion of Learning & Development Qualifications and support delivery of Leadership & Management. To also deliver Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 1 & 2 and support successful progression of the Apprentices/Learners during the programme.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Apprentices/Learners
Support & coordinate initial assessment paperwork and induction of Apprentices/Learners onto the Learning & Development Apprenticeships, Functional Skills or other training programmes.
Mentor and prepare Apprentices/Learners in readiness for sitting their Functional Skills tests, completing diagnostics and providing any learning requirements they might need.
Where appropriate refer Apprentices/Learners to Head of Business, Education & Care or Quality Team for diagnostic testing for confirmation of any additional support needs.
Act as a mentor and or coach to Apprentices/Learners, offering information, advice and guidance as required.
Ensure each apprentice and their Line Manager has a delivery schedule for the programme including teaching sessions, reviews and Gateway requirements.
To teach, mark and feedback on Functional Skills assessments, coordinate the Level 1 & 2 exams to ensure timely completion.
Design, deliver and assess Learning & Development qualifications up to level 5. Plan effective delivery schedules alongside Employer and update relevant MIS systems.
Ensure sufficient progression against all aims and maintain Apprentice/Learner files in line with all funding requirements.
