SATELLITE HARNESS ENGINEER (Entry-level / Graduate)

An exciting and rare Harness Engineer entry-level opportunity has just arisen with a growing American business developing a satellite constellation that will eliminate connectivity gaps and make broadband accessible to all.

In short, you’ll be responsible for the full life cycle of the harness subsystem from requirements derivation, concept, design, manufacture, integration and test of electronics packaging solutions for satellite programs, while being mentored and coached by subject matter experts, and getting 1st hand training and leadership from the VP of Electrical & Power Systems (PhD educated).

Responsibilities (among others):

• Define harness requirements, point-to-point configuration, mechanical layout and construction, connector selection, Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) design, manufacturing drawings, installation drawings
• Definition of mechanical outline and construction details, connector selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, overseeing electrical layout, electrical analysis, and ownership of final technical data package
• Creation of final wire harness drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Creation and maintaining product and system-level wiring diagrams and schematics
• Perform testing such as pin-to-pin isolation, grounding, and continuity checks

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Power Electronics
• Willingness to learn
• Being dynamic and a self-started
• Passion to partake in the development of technologies that will contribute to humankind globally in the connectivity sphere
• In order to obtain required authorizations to access test sites, you must be a US citizen or a Green Card holder

Compensation package:

The basic salary for this position sits at around $80,000 + Unlimited PTO; 401k; Medical, dental and vision insurance; Life insurance; Etc.
