Project Manager – Demolition

As the Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the client company’s ability to deliver project contractual outcomes. This dynamic position involves leading and supporting demolition operations in the evaluation and execution of all contract-related issues.

The successful candidate will ensure a safe professional environment, compliance with company commercial procedures, and contribute to the company’s financial and project management framework.

This role is within a commercial/mining industry, and you will be responsible for delivering high-quality project commercial and contractual outcomes. This role involves establishing strong and collaborative relationships with clients, suppliers, service providers, and subcontractors. Support for project quality delivery and engineering is also expected. This is a FIFO position based on a 2:1 roster, fly out from all major cities in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• 2:1 roster FIFO from major cities working on a project in the Northern Territory.
• Direct and mentor project teams, ensuring adherence to safety and commercial procedures.
• Assist in tender document preparation, negotiations, and business development.
• Create, manage, and execute all project contracts.
• Providehigh-level commercial support and financial advice.
• Ensure efficient and profitable project returns.
• Lead and support commercial negotiations.
• Develop innovative contract strategies for project profitability.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate commercial activities within the project.
• Analyse complex problems and develop strategies for solutions.
• Track project progress, issues, and manage resources.
• Provide quality assurance for project documentation.
• Manage HSEQ and environmental matters.

Qualifications and experience needed in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or engineering, or related field.
• Financial acumen is essential for success in this role.
• Minimum of 5 years Commercial and Contract experience in a management role within Australia.
• Minimum of 15 years Contract negotiation and drafting experience.
• Strong understanding of contracts and ability to drive results through collaboration.
• Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Decommissioning/demolition experience, contract management, and client negotiation skills are crucial.

What’s on offer:

• 2:1 roster fly out from all major cities in Australia. Travel time will depend on state you reside in. The project is located in the Northern Territory.

• The project involves a 10-year decommissioning and demolition + rehab, currently in its 3rd year.
• Earn up to $250 000 per year with company benefits.
