About the role …

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant in our Canberra offices. This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all payments and receipts of all Property Operating Expenses on behalf of the client are processed in a timely manner. This role will develop sound working relationships with key client staff and manage the day-to-day activities for the assigned clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring service delivery meets and ideally exceeds client and internal customer expectations and established service levels and/ or other defined benchmarks
• Completion of internal month-end financial reporting processes for designated Evolve FM clients
• Ensure adherence to prescribed quality standards and internal controls within the finance function across the Evolve FM business to manage risk for both clients and the company
• Process improvement, problem solving and analysis within areas of accountability towards continuous improvement and best practice
• Delivering accountabilities assigned within the annual operational plan for area of responsibility
• Manage client funding requests & deliver monthly financial reports

About you …

Proactive with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities, while possessing a can-do attitude; our ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Bachelor Degree in an Accounting or related discipline;
• Formal qualifications or progress towards completing qualifications related to finance would be highly regarded (CA or CPA)
• Good interpersonal skills to manage diverse range of Client representatives and Evolve FM stakeholders
• Sound written and oral communication skills, and the capacity to deal with ambiguity & complex problems
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple and complex deliverables on a daily basis
• Able to think strategically, innovatively and solve problems
• Very good Excel skills, analytical and reporting skills (including commentary)
