The purpose of the Mine Accountant role is to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely data relating to mining activities and assist in ensuring all corporate statutory and site board reporting is completed in line with the monthly cycle.

Our Mungari gold operation is both open pit and underground, located 20km west of Kalgoorlie and 600km east of Perth in Western Australia. Due to our recent growth, Mungari is now one of Evolution Mining’s cornerstone assets.

About the role
Reporting to the Finance Superintendent, the Mine Accountant role offers an exceptional opportunity to be a key business partner to our Mungari Gold Operation.
Key result areas in this role include:
Preparing month end accounts
Management reporting
Assisting with LOM budgeting and forecasting activities
Providing clarification of operational performance against budgets/forecasts
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
Ability to run management reports and analyse financial data
Financial Management Systems experience
CPA/CA/CIMA qualification or study towards qualification highly desirable
Working knowledge of Power BI and Pronto ERP would be highly regarded
The ability to working closely and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
