The Opportunity

We are seeking Cert III or Diploma qualified experienced and passionate Assistant Educators who will implement and evaluate programs for children that encourage them to explore. You will be a part of the team with good networking opportunities with growth & strong pedagogical practices.

Your experience

You will have an approach that allows for purposeful observation of the important development processes of each child. You won’t be someone who rushes, forces or intervenes in their self-paced development. You will have extreme respect of infants and toddlers with undiscovered knowledge and ability.

As the first point of contact for parents, exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly is essential.

First Aid & CPR are held at the service and paid for after your first year of commencing.

• You will be flexible to work within the hours of 6.30am-6.30pm.
• You have a knowledge of Reggio Emilia perspectives.
• You will be an experienced advocate for the early education sector.
• You will be able to support the team in all aspects of the day.
• You will be supportive of children’s individual daily rhythms.
• You have a detailed eye for inspiring open-ended learning spaces using provocations and invitations to play.

A demonstrated understanding of:

• National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Child Protection Training
• Workplace Health & Safety issues
• The ability to form warm and responsive relationships with children
• Ability to work and contribute to various team environments you will be required to engage and provide a high-quality learning curriculum for all children and families.

The successful candidate must be comfortable with technology and have the willingness to learn new skills.

• a team player attitude
• Document the delivery of the educational program, children’s interests and assessments of their learning and development needs
• Be a motivated and driven Educator, with a critical reflection lens, who will inspire staff to critically reflect on their pedagogical practice, share ideas and identify innovative ways of achieving positive outcomes for children

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: From $27.00 per hour
