Who We Are

Everight Kindergarten will be opening its first school in New York City in mid-2022. We are looking for an Education Director to manage the launch of the school (licensing, staffing, enrollment, etc.) and to establish it as the premier early learning and child-care option in the community.

Our team includes experienced tutors, and youth development professionals committed to participants’ well-being. Students take part in exciting learning opportunities, collaborative activities, moderated discussions, and interactive games. Participants develop skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, among others.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the Everight Kindergarten
• Ensure that the academic program is implemented in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of our kindergarten
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for students, teachers, and staff
• Provide inspirational leadership for the education and welfare of the children
• Lead the professional development of teachers, assistant teachers, and teacher assistants
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with parents in support of student education and welfare
• Implement the recruitment, orientation, appraisal, motivation and retention of teachers
• Establish and maintain high professional expectations for all teachers and staff
• Support and participate in promotional activities

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above, including or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field;
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising staff in a NYS child care program or related field of work as an Education Director/Head of School/Executive Director;
• At least 2 years of experience as a group teacher in a program for children under six years of age;
• Proven track record of successfully managing a private pre-school, including enrollment, budget and financial performance accountability;
• Demonstrated passion for and commitment to working with children;

• Authorized to work in the US.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
