The Pharmacy Receptionist is responsible for greeting and managing the entry of visitors, answering calls, and assisting with the processing of data related to pharmacy practice. Responsibilities and duties include:

• Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate team member
• Open door for patients and direct them to the waiting area
• Schedule patient appointments
• appointments through Electronic Medical Records
• Call patients to arrange for deliveries
• Contact doctors’ offices to follow up on refills
• Process monthly patient statements
• Enter data into pharmacy system
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
• Effectively work both independently and as part of a team
• Help with unloading of deliveries from various vendors
• Miscellaneous additional tasks
