ROLE OVERVIEW

In this role you will engage in business development activities nationally, promoting Evergreen’s products and capabilities primarily to financial advisers, dealer groups, fund managers and platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary sales person for Evergreen’s “off-the-shelf” portfolios, ERIG Index and Investment Bonds
• Identify new opportunities [interstate, regional] for Evergreen’s managed accounts (MA) and asset consulting services
• Establish and cultivate strong relationships on behalf of Evergreen with financial advisers, dealer groups and platform providers 
• Work closely with Head of Strategic Partnerships and Evergreen leadership team to develop multiple contact points with target clients
• Manage and respond to inbound sales and product inquiry and requests in an efficient and timely manner
• Manage and develop key internal and stakeholder relationships [to assist with and provide leverage with respect to client sales efforts]

SALES STRATEGY AND BUDGETS

• Responsible for leading national sales strategy program for Evergreen’s “off-the-shelf” portfolios, ERIG Index and Investment Bonds
• Formulate and present sales plans and budgets and strategies that align with the overall business goals and objectives
• Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospects with a focus on scalable and repeatable business to meet sales targets
• Manage and maintain Evergreen’s Client Relationship Management system [Hubspot], recording all client activity in a timely manner

SALES S AND MEETINGS

• Produce and present detailed sales and pipeline s for periodic [weekly] management meetings/updates relative to agreed activity and revenue targets

MARKETING 

• Inform, contribute, and assist with Evergreen’s sales and marketing initiatives and campaigns 
• Collaborate with Marketing and Head of Strategic Partnerships across adviser communications, strategic email campaigns, LinkedIn posts and adviser-focused webinars
• Drive the production and development of fit for purpose sales collateral (in collaboration with Marketing)

CONFERENCES

• Identify opportunities for Evergreen to participate in industry conferences as delegates, speakers, on panels, and sponsorship
• Provide preparation notes for any conferences and external events where Evergreen is participating in, helping to detail opportunities

SALES SEGMENTS

Evergreen Consultants 

• Lead Evergreen’s “off-the-shelf” models including investment bonds sales to financial advisers, that are on platforms HUB24, Macquarie Wrap, DASH and Generation Life (investment bond)
• Assist in securing new MA clients
• Assist in the preparation of RFPs for prospects

ERIG Index

• Lead the ERIG Index sales strategy
• Secure dealer group and financial adviser subscriptions and advocate for the use of the ERIG Index portal as a value-add to the investment process 
• Manage ongoing Fund managers’ subscriptions, provision of content for the knowledge library, and Webinar participation are covered by the Head of Strategic Sales plus Marketing 

COMPLIANCE 

• Operate in accordance and ensure compliance with the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) requirements, including continuing professional development (CPD)

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree majoring in one of more of the following disciplines: Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting or Commerce or related disciplines  

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Basic Microsoft productivity (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Customer Relationship Management systems (Salesforce, Hubspot, and similar)
• An understanding of the financial advice frameworks and licensing/advice legislation under which advisers and dealer groups operate
• Sound technical knowledge of investment products including Evergreen’s product suite

INDUSTRY SKILLS

• A passion for the investment management industry
• Basic understanding of legislation and regulations applicable to AFSL

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales and marketing position within a similar financial services business
• Good understanding of intermediary/wholesale funds management and managed accounts
