As a Logistics Manager at Event Services Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations for events.
This role requires excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to define logistical requirements, manage transportation and shipping logistics, coordinate warehousing and inventory management, and ensure the smooth execution of event logistics.
The Logistics Manager plays a vital role in delivering exceptional client experiences and ensuring the success of events from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage event logistics operations.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to define logistical requirements.
Coordinate transportation logistics, including shipping, delivery, and movement of event materials and equipment.
Manage warehousing and inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Implement efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions.
Assess logistics risks and develop contingency plans.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Manage logistics budget and expenses.
Supervise and support logistics team members.
Coordinate with venue staff and event leads for seamless logistics execution.
Provide logistics support for event setup and teardown.
Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in the events industry.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
Experience managing budgets and expenses.
Leadership and team management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for events.
