Direct Impact Logistics

Operations Manager:

The Operations Manager will assist General Manager in executing the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit. This role will lead-safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Team to ensure accountability for inbound/outbound logistics. They will to General Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth.
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
  • Set policies and processes.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Direct the employee assessment process.
  • Prepare regular s for upper management.
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.
  • Lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each.
  • Move up and down stairs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience with final mile deliveries.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal).
