Job Description
To provide commercially focussed, generalist HR support to two Eurofins Forensic Services sites based in Tamworth and Culham in addition to supporting the wider HR team covering sites in Birchwood Park, Heathrow, Wakefield and Leeds on an ad-hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Manage the recruitment authorisation process and support the management team with recruitment and selection of senior positions as appropriate; conduct interviews and assessments based on competencies and recommend compensation packages as appropriate
Provide and maintain accurate reporting of resourcing activity
Promote talent transfers and proactively support inter-company transfers within the Eurofins Group
Maintain close relationships with resource providers and keep up to date with the evolving talent market place and support management in planning and conducting talent reviews and career management activities for teams
In conjunction with Business Unit Mangers, support the annual performance review process, ensuring that reviews are conducted and documented in line with the company’s performance review system and provide line manager coaching as required
Provide advice and support on handling and resolving ER matters such as disciplinary, performance management and grievance in line with company policy &, procedure and current legislation
Ensure managers are coached and developed to improve capabilities and confidence in managing people related matters
Supports management in reviewing and assessing performance and productivity across teams and work groups
In conjunction with Business Unit Mangers, carry out training needs analysis for employees and makes recommendations for appropriate training interventions and support training programmes as required, including the delivery of HR masterclasses
Support the HR Manager in responding to tenders and advise on the impact and management of TUPE transfers in/out
Implement employee satisfaction feedback surveys and follow-through actions
Contribute to the development of reward and recognition schemes.
Develops and maintain positive and productive relationships with local representatives and members of the Eurofins Forensic Services Employment Committee
Monitor and manager absence and occupational health issues
Support Business Unit Managers in ensuring that organisation structures are fit for purpose and in developing succession plans
Develop change management tactics to implement organisation changes and the introduction of new working practices
Support restructuring programmes and consultation as required
Undertake project related activities and sponsorship as agreed from time to time
Qualifications
Qualified to CIPD level 7 or equivalent
Several years HR experience working within a demanding, competitive commercial environment
Up to date knowledge of UK employment law with particular experience managing transfers, and organisational change
Sound knowledge of Leading HR principles, practices and their application in meeting business requirements
High level influencing skills coupled with presence and the strength of personality to make a positive impact with demanding line management colleagues
Manages time and resources effectively; meets mutually agreed deadlines and flags delays and obstacles
Additional Information
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week (part time working hours will also be considered)
Location: Tamworth with regular travel to Culham
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance will be required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. Criminal convictions may prevent you from gaining security clearance. In addition all successful applicants will be required to undertake drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing employment.
