Job Description
As HR Manager you will work closely with HR Director and the Leadership team to build and implement the HR people strategy (for each entity supported) capable of supporting the Company’s growth plan.
You will be responsible for leading and developing the HR business partnering team to support delivery of functional and business HR partnering.
Work closely with HRD to implement the HR strategy (for each entity supported) capable of supporting the Company’s growth plan
To lead the HRBP/HR Advisor team providing clear direction to support delivery of functional and business HR partnering
Liase with managers to understand their HR requirements and business plans
Provide clear advice and support on handling and resolving ER matters such as disciplinary, performance management and grievance in line with company policy, procedure and current legislation. Keep up to date with changes to legislation
Ensure managers are coached and developed to improve capabilities and confidence in managing people related matters
Champion all aspects of employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion to drive understanding and focus on these areas to help embed a stronger approach to each of these areas
Monitor and manage absence and occupational health issues. Promote wellbeing at work and ensure employees are aware of support that is available
Be a role model for change, building key relationships to support and drive change through HR and support managers with change requirements
Support restructuring projects and consultation requirements relating to TUPE, redundancy, transfers etc
Guide management in reviewing and assessing areas such as team structure, job design, performance, retention, and productivity across their teams
Promote talent transfers and proactively support inter-team/site/entity transfers within the Eurofins Group
Work with managers to build succession plans for agreed roles (in relevant entities)
Contribute to the development and review of career paths (in relevant entities)
In conjunction with manager, support the annual review process ensuring reviews are conducted and documented in line with the company system
Work with managers and the learning and development manager to carry out training needs analysis for employees and make recommendations for appropriate training
Develop and deliver HR related training for supervisors and managers; support new starter induction programmes as needed
Working with HR shared services team implement / promote employee engagement surveys, and in conjunction with managers follow through on key actions to help drive engagement levels and support employee retention
Contribute to the development of pay, reward and recognition schemes
Develop the skills and capabilities of the HR team to deliver a strategic and focused partnering service
Ensure GDPR requirements are being maintained at all times; advise managers as necessary to ensure good practices is in place
Provide insights and recommendations on HR initiative that can be leveraged to strengthen business results / improve work environment for our teams
Create a clear set of metrics for your scope to monitor results and provide business insight on key people metrics
Deputise for the HR Director as needed
Support HR Director with acquisition and integration activities (pre/post acquisition)
For 2022 /2023 support implementation of Oracle HCM system phase 2 items (learning and development, talent management etc)
Project work as needed
Qualifications
Hybrid working is available for this position, 2 – 3 days working from home dependent on business needs at the time. Ideally successful candidate able to work from Wolverhampton site on office days with ability to travel to other sites when needed. This permanent position is ideally a Monday to Friday role of 37.5 hours per week, part time working of 30 hours or above will be considered.
Proven track record in a similar role leading the delivery of HR Functions to a high standard
People management experience at HR Advisor / HRBP level (or equivalent) within a complex business environment
Project management experience
Advanced employment law knowledge, including areas such as TUPE,
Experience dealing with complex employee relation matters
Able to lead change and inspire those who are important to delivery of the required business change
Good IT skills, including excel and Powerpoint skills
Experience of designing and delivering a variety of HR related full and half day training courses
Analytical and reporting skills, with experience of using data to drive people related HR activities
An experienced and skilled communicator who also inspires confidence, influences and motivates others
Problem solving and decision making skills, with the ability to analyse complex-information to identify key factor and drive change / resolution
Enthusiastic and engaging professional who works well using their own initiative to achieve goals through a proactive working style
Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
A desire to drive ‘best company to work for’ ethos
Able to work at pace
Positive attitude and able to work in a manner aligned to key company values such as integrity, customer focus, quality and team competence & spirit
