About the role

This position is a full-time role in the Maintenance team and based at the Moruya Depot.

Your main duties will include:

• Operating items of plant and attachments, as required.
• Undertake physical labouring and other related construction or maintenance manual activities.
• Assist in projects for construction works or maintenance activities and provide support to other staff, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Assist in providing customer service with the public in relation to construction and maintenance project elements you are involved in.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of Council’s construction and maintenance activities.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,375.94 to $2,481.17 gross per fortnight consisting of:

• $2,115.21 to $2,210.44 base salary
• $34.96 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
• $225.77 to $235.77 superannuation (at 10.5%)

About you

You are a hard-working, team player who would enjoy working outdoors, operating items of plant and attachments and assisting Supervisors to create a safe and well organised project.

You will have a can-do attitude and demonstrate the following:

• Willingness and ability to safely, efficiently, and effectively undertake physical labouring tasks on site, including the use of equipment such as trucks, rollers, ride on mowers, tractors and small plant.
• Recent previous experience as a labourer in relevant construction and maintenance disciplines.
• Team player and committed to completion of work obligations and tasks.
• Understanding and experience in plant capabilities and outputs, used in Council’s construction and maintenance area.
• Higher relevant industry qualifications will be highly valued.
