We are seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure the effective and efficient provision of financial services including financial accounting, treasury, taxation, accounts payable, finance advice, quarterly budget reviews, integrity and management of financial systems and staff management.

Your responsibilities will include preparation and coordination of the Annual Financial Accounts project and other regular financial reports, ensuring integrity of financial information, administration of Council’s investment portfolio and maximising the benefits of the financial systems functionality.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive knowledge and experience in financial accounting and budget management along with a tertiary qualification in a relevant Finance/Economic discipline. High level interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff in a high performing team is also essential.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $109,332.99 to $116,753.03 gross per annum consisting of:

• $99,393.63 to $106,139.12 base salary,
• $9,939.36 to $10,613.91 superannuation (calculated at 10%)

A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check is a requirement for this position.
