Euro Garages Hiring for Financial Accountant Job at Blackburn, England Full Time

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA – Office Based

Hours: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience & Bonus Scheme

What will my role look like?

Our Benelux Finance Team is expanding and we have a new opportunity available for a Financial Accountant! In this role you will be required to produce monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner; and ensure controls and processes and EG accounting policies are adhered to.

What would my main responsibilities be?

Producing the management accounts for the relevant EG brand in accordance to the reporting timetable.

Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.

To become the main point of contact for Ops managers for financial support and queries on P&Ls.

Variance and trend analysis by site, by brand.

Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.

Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting process.

Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.

Support in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.

Assisting in year-end statutory audit process.

Working closely with operational manager to optimise performance, control cost and improve profitability.

Investment Appraisal for future acquisition targets.

Other ad hoc projects as required by CFO, Finance Director or Financial Controller.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 4-5 years of experience working within a finance function with high volume transactions

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Excellent knowledge of Excel

Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities

Willingness to learn and be part of a team

Advantage:
Multi-site experience either hospitality or retail would be an advantage
