The Principal Accountabilities for the Finance Manager role are;

• Responsibility for the preparation of accurate, timely financial accounts of the group companies (e.g., ANZ region and UK) by applying best practices and month end close. This includes consolidated monthly management accounts

• Prepare statutory accounts for individual entities and the group as per the accounting standards (i.e., IFRS and AASB)

• Oversight of the multi-currency general ledger and ensure balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared for ANZ entities and the Holding entity (i.e., consolidated reporting)

• Provide recommendations on improving current business policies, procedures, and systems

• Support the planning, modelling and preparation of all annual budget and rolling forecast deliverables

• Support continuous improvement projects, develop, and enhance reporting and planning tools and identify opportunities for efficiency and financial outcomes

• Responsibility for liaising with external auditors and complete the year end audit of the group entities including consolidated accounts of the holding entity

• Business partnering with the Development team, operational and non-financial colleagues to provide link with the Finance Team

• Other ad-hoc projects and reporting as required (eg. Development of loss impairment models in conjunction with AASB9)

• Work in a small team, mentoring and supporting Assistant Accountant in General Ledger reconciliations, Bank and Subledgers reconciliations

Your Profile

• CA or CPA Qualified
• Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or related field
• 5 years’ experience in in financial control covering management accounting, budgeting forecasting, financial analysis
• Experience in preparing consolidated accounts / statutory accounts where multi-currencies are involved
• Experience in accounting systems preferably in financial force /multi-currency ledger
• Advanced financial modelling skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and analysis
• Highly motivated attitude with a strong will to succeed in the business
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Preferably several years training in External Audit function
• Detailed technical knowledge of IFRS/AASB (specially related to financial services )
• Self-confident and articulate accounting professional with ability to develop key business relationships and desire to take on more responsibility
