Chemical Process Engineer

Description:

This person will have indirect supervision of 30 employees and will train under the Plant Manager who is a chemical engineer with 20+ years in these processes.

This person will to the Plant Manager with this engineer being the change agent to improve plant processes which are primarily spray drying and secondarily packaging.

This person will initiate process changes, be a key member of the management team, analyze PIE data, determine contamination issues, ensure compliance with FDA/GMP rules and train operators. This site has a large sister plant next door feeding fermented products to them. Growth potential could be to this expanding site or the nearby site.

Requirements:

· B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

· 4+ years’ experience in chemical processes, API, or food additives. Spray drying is a huge plus but not required. Other pluses include controls, drying, filtration, and centrifugation.

· Must have a track record optimizing and implementing more complex plant processes and analyzing data.

· Must demonstrate leadership skills, have the ability to motivate people and get buy in with plant operators.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
