The Administrative Assistant plays a key role as the first point of contact for all employers who are interested in, or have signed up for, the Inclusive Island Ops Employer Hub. The Administrative Assistant will maintain a user-friendly and welcoming reception area, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries from the public. The Administrative Assistant will also assist with tracking employer progress, administering contracts, setting up and maintaining the employer database, and ensuring weekly financial allocations are processed.
Essential Qualifications and required skills:
· Post Secondary education in Human Services, Administration or related OR a combination of education, training, and experience
· Training in or well-developed computer skills (Microsoft software applications, particularly Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Publisher)
· 3+ years front line experience serving a diverse clientele in a demanding and fast-paced environment
· Experience working with small to medium businesses is an asset
· Experience working with people with diverse abilities and understanding their needs/gaps in a work environment
· Experience with database management
· A COVID 19 vaccine passport
