This is a rare opportunity for a true workforce planning leader to join our team in the brand-new role. You’ll have full ownership of the Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition strategy, its refinement and implementation on a national basis. You will also own the talent CoE that will provide best-of-breed workforce management solutions across our business and provide leadership and direction to the team of talent partners.

Some of what you’ll be doing:

• Working with Executive and Senior leaders to build and implement a strategic workforce plan and recruitment solutions in line with business strategy.
• Understand the future workforce supply and demand and develop aligned build and buy workforce plans in consultation with business leaders and other people and culture experts.
• Managing the delivery of all recruitment activities including: organisational Resourcing needs analysis, recruitment market trends analysis, candidate selection, vendor management, analysis of recruitment metrics, contracts and other recruitment services.
• Ensure end to end recruitment activities are aligned with the Employee Value Proposition.
• Providing interpretation and counsel to Executive/Strategic Management regarding recruitment policies, programs and practices.
• Researching issues and developing solutions to resolve strategic recruitment business issues.
• Developing and implementing new recruitment policies, practices and programs to meet organisational and Executive/Strategic Management needs.

The background that will make you a success in this role:

• At least 10 years of experience in HR
• Management, leadership, team building, consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills.
• Expert knowledge of Human Resource organisational policies and practices.
• Expert knowledge of recruitment best practice.
• Strategic business knowledge and understanding.
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication skills and highly service orientated.
• Knowledge of current employment legislation and ‘Employer of Choice’ practices.
• Business partnering capability.
• Ability to interact and influence at an executive/strategic level.
• Team management and leadership.
• Strategy development.
• Budgetary management.
