ESM Prep Hiring for AP Computer Science Tutor — $60-70/hour Job at Remote Full Time

ESM Prep is a community of educators seeking energetic and engaging tutors who are not only content experts, but also kind mentors who can support their students holistically. This position will be primarily working with students remotely for AP Computer Science, as well as organization and study skills.

Our Philosophy

We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching.

Requirements

• 2+ years tutoring experience in AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles Bachelor’s degree

• expertise in Java, JavaScript, C, and Scratch
• Bachelor’s degree
• Availability to tutor at least 4 days per week during weekdays (usually after 3 PM) and/or weekends (a tutor’s typical work schedule is Sunday-Thursday). Some weekday sessions will start late due to after-school activities

• Availability to tutor through June 2022, but 2023 is preferred

• Reliable Internet access (fast enough for video conferencing)

Compensation

The starting rate for this position will be $60-70/hour for time spent with students.
