Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.
*Job Role Summary*
At Eskenazi Health, the Internal Talent and Career Development Partner position is responsible for the strategic design, development and deployment of internal qualified staff and career development initiatives across the system. In conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Lead Talent Acquisition Strategist, this position leads and supports projects and initiatives that impact how internal employees can build lasting careers at Eskenazi Health and support the organization’s ability to grow and retain key talent. There is a large emphasis on developing and deploying career programs to aide in internal retention metrics.
The Internal Talent and Career Development Partner focuses on achieving hiring and promotion transparency including staff education regarding hiring, implementing strategies to retain skilled/high performing internal talent who consider exiting the system, educating current employees on growth potential within the system, creating programs to remove potential barriers to advancement, and providing proactive communication for those looking to develop. This position requires a passion for developing individuals along with a vision for the future of healthcare and the healthcare workforce as well as the ability to translate ideas into actionable projects and drive execution in a complex and matrixed environment.
This position provides thought leadership in the internal recruitment/retention and career development space through implementing and utilizing internal talent pools, skill development plans, and career planning, while partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Partners to ensure measures are in place to support the movement of employees throughout Eskenazi Health with internal recruitment efforts. This position builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders across the system to provide consulting support to targeted programs and ensure alignment with overall systemwide programs and initiatives.
