ESA Hiring for Alternative Education Manager – Sport Job at York, England Full Time

ESA works with young people who have been excluded/at risk of exclusion from school. We are in the process of recruiting an Alternative Education Manager/Teacher for our BTEC Sport/Functional Skills programme in York (term-time only).
The successful candidate must have:
- A PGCE or recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree in sport.
- Experience of teaching Level 1 qualifications.
- Experience of working with young people.
The role includes:
- Managing a small team of staff.
- Delivering engaging theory and practical lessons.
- Managing challenging behaviour.
- Creating positive relationships with schools, parents and carers.
- Completing in-house administration.
Please note – this role will initially be for two to three days-per-week. The salary for two days will be £8,000 per-year and the salary for three days will be £12,000 per-year. We hope to increase to five days in the near future and the role would then be paid at £20,000 per-year.
