Role Responsibilities:
.

• Prepare and process various month end journals across the group’s Corporate entities, generation, electricity retail and energy solutions businesses;
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations for Group entities;
• Maintenance of the fixed assets register
• Assist with financial accounting, tax and management accounting matters across the Group; and

Reconciling bank accounts

• Assist with preparation of the annual group FBT return
• Assist with preparing the annual group financial reports
• Assist with preparation of the annual subsidiary financial reports
• Assist with internal control evaluations and process mapping
• Assist with preparation of technical accounting advice as required

What we are looking for:

• Ability to meet deadlines;
• Good fundamental accounting and tax knowledge;
• Effective communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;
• Experience in using the SAP software platform preferred;
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Willingness to learn and take on additional tasks as and when required;
• Demonstrate strong skills in problem solving and analytic review;
• Advanced Excel skills and skills in all other Microsoft Office packages.
• Accounting or other finance degree preferred and/or equivalent practical work experience.
• CA or CPA qualifications desirable
