About this Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced STA CAD Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining signoff STA methodology for Ericsson’s next-generation products. This role requires a broad understanding of custom ASIC development within a physical design organization.

Ericsson’s enterprise portfolio consists of Mission critical networks, dedicated / private networks, Fixed wireless access and edge devices, small and medium business solutions, and Ericsson IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity and security solutions.

What you will do

• Develop Ericsson’s timing signoff methodology
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to architect solutions for Ericsson timing challenges
• Support timing signoff, modeling, and ECO flows
• Collaborate with EDA vendors on developing and deploying next generation methodologies
• Partner with EDA vendors to triage and resolve timing tool issues
• Write custom python/tcl scripts for timing related utilities and ing
• Mentor and train junior engineers, and set direction for timing solutions
• Help develop a correct-by-construction flow and minimize the STA signoff effort
• Define methodology for reducing static/dynamic power in our signoff ECO flows
• Develop early STA/timing/constraint checks to improve design quality before signoff phase
• Help develop timing dashboards to provide critical insights and improve productivity of design partners
• Develop useful skew recipes during signoff ECO phase to improve timing closure while mitigating hold timing violations

You will bring

• 7+ years of experience in Physical Design with focus on STA signoff and modeling
• Expertise in industry standard timing signoff tool such as Tempus or Primetime
• Experience with timing, noise, and power ECO for design closure
• Proficiency in tcl and python scripting
• Understanding of complete RTL to GDS workflow with focus on timing signoff
• Leadership skills and ability to work with diverse teams across the globe
• Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills, with ability to communicate complex technical subjects.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
