Lantern Hill is a luxurious 20-acre continuing care retirement community located in Union County, New Jersey in the borough of New Providence. We’re part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing.

We are hiring a Sales Associate who is an integral member of the Sales and Marketing team and is expected to work independently and as a member of a highly interdependent team. This position is responsible for marketing the Erickson lifestyle to prospects and analyzing various business metrics to determine the prospect’s viability and the next best step in the sales and marketing process.

Compensation: up to $30.00 per hour with experience plus commission.

How you will make an impact:

• Interact with prospects through a variety of sales activities that include daily phone sales, face-to-face sales meetings, and group sales.
• Influence prospects with strategic messages, tactics, talking points, events, etc.
• Develop and sustain customer relationships that result in revenue generation.
• Conduct extensive follow-up, follow-thru activities, and retention programs.
• Conduct phone sales that increase the quality and quantity of appointments attended by prospective residents.
• Manage the integrity of our Customer Relationship Management database information and s.
• 
  Seeks to understand prospects’ interest in activities/events and then organizes the activities and events for prospects to attend.
• 
  Shows creativity in event creation to garner interest for robust attendance.
• 
  Builds strong positive relationships with residents, departments and outside vendors.
• 
  Collaborates with departments to coordinate room usage for activities/events (i.e., room reservations through Event Management System; table/chair configuration and set-up/breakdown logistics; A/V needs; food and beverage; publicity, etc.)

What you will need:

• AA degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required. Bachelors’ preferred. Prior experience may be considered in lieu of education on a case-by-case basis.
• Previous sales and/or marketing experience preferred.
• Previous experience working with a long sales cycle (12 – 18 months) is strongly desired.
• Proven technology skills
