Job Summary:
ERCO’s Corporate office is looking for a Process EngineeringCo-Op/PEY Student to join our Engineering Team! This position assist in providing process engineering support to all ERCO’s businesses. This includes process optimization and project support for the ERCO manufacturing sites for the duration of the contract.

Duties & Responsibilities (Based on typical work assignment):

• Develop electrolyte physical properties using ASPEN
• Assist with equipment, piping and instrumentation sizing.
• Work with and/or participate in the development of engineering documents including piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID’s), heat and mass balance.
• Learn how to read and prepare binary interlock drawings.
• Identify safe equipment operating limits including alarms and trips.
• Participate in process hazard analysis (PHA).
• Assist with operating manual preparation.

Key Attributes & Qualifications:

• Working experience with ASPEN process simulations and Microsoft Office software
• Enrolled in a Chemical Engineering or a Chemical Engineering Technology Program; 3rd year students preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and in a group setting.
• A passion for and a demonstrated commitment to extra-curricular activities and/or community involvement.

Term: May 2022 – August 2022 (longer for PEY Student)

Hourly Rate: $ 22.00
