Since our founding in April 2019, Supermajority Education Fund and our related 501(c)(4) organization, Supermajority, have reached more than a million women through in-person conversations and online outreach. In August 2019, over 75,000 people from all 50 states completed our Women’s* Poll, which led to the creation of the Majority Rules, a set of values to help us build the country we deserve. In December 2019 we welcomed Pantsuit Nation, an online community of more than 3 million women and allies, into our organization.
In 2020, we ran the country’s largest woman-to-woman voter engagement program by offering strategic digital tools, training, and information to women and allies around the country. In 2021, we continued the work of engaging and mobilizing women across the country, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and it’s disproportionate impact on women, specifically women of color.
Position Summary
Supermajority Education Fund is seeking a Political Curriculum Designer who will be primarily responsible for training and developing 10,000 Supermajority Leaders in 2022, in collaboration with Supermajority’s training team. They will do this through developing and facilitating various leadership cohorts, including our flagship program ‘Majority Leaders’, as well as preparing volunteers to be trained in making a difference in the 2022 midterms. This position reports to the Director of Learning and Development.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Establish learning theory for programs
Manage large leadership cohorts (1500+ participants) from conception and planning conversations, to development of training scripts, to implementation and facilitation, to debrief of outcomes
Align all training of members and volunteers to Supermajority training pedagogy
Establish radical hospitality for all members and volunteers
Project management of training programs
Owning the recruitment process: reading applications, vetting applications, visualizing where our applicants are located, reporting on numbers
Partner/guest speaker management: Keeping track of who is confirmed, assigning times for dry runs with partners, managing timeliness of talking points
Curriculum development: working with Training Director to ensure outlines, scripts, and powerpoints are meaningful learning experiences, assisting in creating a workbook for leadership participants
Call execution: Tech support on Zoom for each training (slides, captions, chat box support)
Call analysis: Understanding who is attending across each call
Leadership cohort evaluation: Developing a narrative, backed by data, of what is happening in the leadership cohort and sharing that narrative with Supermajority
The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualities:
A strategic mind that seeks to create learning experiences at scale, and is eager to creatively invent new and innovative content and facilitation
Relevant background in non-profit, educational, and/or campaign settings and understanding of grassroots organizing
Demonstrated experience in learning and training content-related work, including development of training materials from conception to implementation, and in facilitating both online and in-person learning and community building experiences
Strong virtual communication and collaboration. Efficiency and comfort with Slack and Google Suite, responsiveness via email, and willingness to participate in weekly group calls or as needed
Commitment to a racial equity. Consistently integrate a deep understanding of key racial equity concept into work projects and interactions by addressing structural implications and disproportionate impacts of policies, activities, and decisions on race, class and other group identities within the context of job responsibilities and projects

The salary for this position starts at $75,000 and is commensurate with experience.
