Summary
Reporting to the Director, Executive Hiring, the Senior Principal, Executive Hiring will play a lead role in designing search strategies, direct sourcing, engaging with top external and internal talent, and taking on accountability for the management of end-to-end executive searches.

This senior role will implement the resourcing policies, framework, and processes that drive constant results, and external market awareness focused on exceptional candidate experience and differentiated internal customer experience.
Hiring the best leaders is a key business priority that underpins our growth plans, and we need an Executive Recruiter that can solve for hard-to-reach senior candidates allowing us to scale. This hire will build diverse candidate pipelines across a variety of functions (Data Centre Services, Corporate Functions, Product, Sales, Marketing etc.), and leverage creativity and resourcefulness to drive results, while delivering a differentiated experience to leaders.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute multiple, cross-functional, end-to-end executive searches at Senior Director, VP, and SVP levels – taking accountability for driving business outcomes and differentiated experiences for leaders. Focus on quality, diversity, and agility.
Provide counsel to hiring managers during assessment and evaluation of candidates and act as a primary negotiator and closer of selected candidates.
Earn trust across a range of stakeholders; establish yourself as a trusted subject matter expert to inspire leaders to drive prioritization and commitment to diversity efforts.
Ensure a strong positive client and candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Develop a strong understanding of business issues within the industry and utilize knowledge in search planning for appropriate company targeting.
Position and effectively articulate Equinix’s employer brand / value proposition with senior leaders.
Interact with and provide thought leadership to Executive Researchers / Sourcers, HR CoE Partners (Client Services, Reward, Talent Management, Global Mobility, HR Services) and the wider, global Talent Acquisition team.
Develop and maintain market-specific research relevant to the business and talent needs that include maintaining a network of diverse industry contacts and reporting out on search progress, including candidate pipelines, diversity initiatives, and market-related compensation.
Be a role model of recruitment best practices, providing other Recruiters with your insight and support to help them grow,
Think strategically and commit to delivering results, adapting effortlessly to change to drive meaningful outcomes.
Experience & Skills
Significant in-house executive recruiting experience, or retained search experience, ideally a combination of both
Proven experience in recruiting senior-level professionals in a retained search or contingency search firm
Strong experience sourcing passive executive-level candidates through referrals, warm leads, cold calls, and other direct sourcing techniques
Experience consulting on and negotiating complex compensation and mobility packages to assist with hiring decisions,
Knowledge and understanding of executive recruiting techniques, recruitment plan development, sourcing methods, and executive compensation strategies
Experience consulting, influencing, and partnering with business executives, leadership, human resources partners, and peers.
Ability to collaborate with executive and senior management to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
