As a member of the Tax Operations Team, this positon will work extensively on the systems and data integral to EQ tax processing. The Incumbent will lead tax projects and support EQ products with tax implications. Providing production support to specific tax operational functions and will have a strong working knowledge of the data and processing needs of the tax functions. This position will be responsible for conversion and deconversion of client data, perform ad hoc analyses and make recommendations for process improvements. This position will also review and identify optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and recommends solutions. Incumbent will be responsible for providing solutions to other business problems involving an understanding and communication of the risks and ensuring outcomes are documented and procedures are updated or created. Incumbent will collaborate with technology, tax operations teams, and other EQ business units to implement process changes.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
The Operations Analyst works independently with considerable latitude, compiles, analyses and interprets data partnering with managers to design and implement strategic analysis to meet department or company goals.
Performs (or oversees) complex statistical analysis and applies analysis to initiatives that support business strategies as well as to support solving complex operational, systems-related and/or customer issues with possible financial risk.
Possesses broad-based technical and business knowledge to anticipate emerging issues and recommend subsequent strategies and business directions.
Key stakeholder on business and technology project efforts defining requirements and implementation of those project efforts by representing multiple department needs.
Define and build business requirements, submit business requests on behalf of the Tax department. Lead tax projects and support EQ products with tax implications. Document and design technical test use cases and test scripts.
Identify, develop and implement policies, procedures and training materials ensuring compliance with government regulations while maximizing efficiency and optimizing customer service internally and externally.
Analyze, solve and provide recommendations on a variety of operational, systems-related and/or customer transactional issues.
Conduct business analysis and identify opportunities to maximize operational efficiency, quality of service and compliance.
Present recommendations and align stakeholders and/or managers.
Engages with management to ensure data is applied to business goals and analytical requirements, including but not limited to internal process improvement, QC metrics, conversion and deconversion of clients.
Oversee vendor efforts. Responsible for collaborating with UK procurement team; vetting new suppliers and setting up suppliers in Workday.
Assist department manager with RRIT resolution and oversee short/long term remediation plans.
Education Requirements
Undergraduate four year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
